There was a time when I said I would never take it off, but that time came this Mother's Day. I was ready to move on, this time with a necklace that represented all of my babies, including the "little bird" that I lost summer '09. I was so happy that it arrived the day before Mother's Day, complete with all my babe's initials and a little pearl for the babe I lost. I shadow-boxed the original necklace for safe keeping.
