My Girl...

Another proud moment for Mama...
Ausha was in need of pants. While running errands this weekend, I told her she had a choice. She could pick two pairs of pants from a department store (Target) or she could have five outfits from the DI (2nd hand store). She decided, in her words: "The DI would be better because I am getting more clothes and I am reusing". She walked away with some pretty cute clothes and I only spent $44.00. Good choice Ausha...that's my girl!

great comment re the DI store. good value for the money. (what does DI stand for, Myshell?)

we have Value Villages in Canada, I'm there at least once a month. half my clothes are of the reused variety. wouldn't have it any other way.

PS does Lance write his own songs?

For those in my neck of the woods, Once Upon a Child is a jackpot. Not to promo a chain or whatnot, but it's a huge help in our efforts, both environmental and economic.

Humm....guessing......

DI= Done Again? Dress Again? Dressing Imagination?

Don't you feel like you're also treasure hunting when you shop used? I appreciate my find o'so much more! Shannon

As far as I know, Lance does not write his own songs. This may change as he finds time to learn the Banjo I bought him for Christmas last year...I'll keep you updated...Cheers!

Doesn't it just feel so great to get a bargain or five or six! One of my favourite pieces of clothing is a velvet paisley jacket in browns and gold I bought for a buck at the local Goodwill. I'll never get rid of it.
